I know how painful rib injuries can be - I did something on my left side 3 weeks back (racing go-karts with my brother) and I can still feel it.Ewenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01093209634556111656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623487.post-6113003606711204882011-01-21T12:04:58.791-08:002011-01-21T12:04:58.791-08:00Heal quickly!Heal quickly!Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09721679542868068134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623487.post-47931580339579013892011-01-21T11:02:28.130-08:002011-01-21T11:02:28.130-08:00Ohhh bummer! You've worked hard for this marathon but you no longer have that "all or nothing" attitude that means that not getting a PR means it's all a waste - rather you seem to be okay with seeing how things unfold. This is truly impressive - what a sign of personal growth sweet Jen! Good luck with it and I think you just might surprise yourself anyway!Petrarunshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08223283092182797048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623487.post-51320812620885390942011-01-20T18:27:56.783-08:002011-01-20T18:27:56.783-08:00After I ran Hood to Coast last summer I had chest ...After I ran Hood to Coast last summer I had chest pain. I thought for sure I had come down with pneumonia because that's what it felt like. It hurt to breath or take a deep breath. The doc said I had Costochondritis. It's basically inflammation in the rib cartilage from running a long distance (for me). It lasted about 2 weeks. I used a heating pad and took Advil and it helped.Lisahttp://www.110pounds.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18623487.post-11995147623117686622011-01-20T18:18:43.156-08:002011-01-20T18:18:43.156-08:00Sounds like you made a smart decision, Jen.
