It was a great year. It really was. There were certainly rough spots, but we made it through that and came out stronger, happier, and more grateful than ever.
I don’t even really know what to say… I haven’t been blogging much lately and I think my writing muscles are rusty. Last year I had a lovely recap of my New Year perspective, and I just can’t come up with anything like that right now. Although reading through that, I did pretty good with my 2011 goals! I stayed centered and positive, I spent time outdoors, with friends, family, and with my super husband. I ran a bunch! I really had a great year. For 2012, I want to do all of that again, and more. I have so much to be grateful for and will not let a day pass by without remembering that. Life is good.
Here are a few photos from the blog that highlight the beauty and adventure of 2011. Going back to find these I am just so happy about all the good times we had. I had to skip over a lot to only pick one picture per month! But that’s a good thing. An overabundance of joy:

What a fun year!
Definitely a lot of running in 2011. Love all the pics especially the one of you on top of the mountain---super pretty!
Bring on 2012!
I like that format-the pictures tell the story in ways that words can't.
Seeing that one of you in the wetsuit makes me want to hurl out of nervousness. There is nothing worse than the start of a triathlon!
Could you and Zach be cuter? No, you couldn't.
Can't wait to see what 2012 brings!
Picking just one photo from each month would have taken some doing! Great view with that September one.
Happy New Year to you both. Keep that 'go for it' attitude happening in 2012!
It was such a JOY to be with you this august - an unforgettable adventure - thank you for inviting me along on the ride. What a year 2011 has been for you and 2012 will be EVER more amazing..
I think these pictures show what a fun year you had. :)
I'm pondering registering for the Portland Marathon this year...my brother is moving out there when he's done with his MBA. You'll have to show me the best place for PR beers. :)
