My second home

Monday 10.0 miles/1:28:38/8:52 average pace

Tuesday 3.0 miles/26:28/8:49 average pace

I travel to LA a lot for work, and I try to stay in the same place. The hotel I like is near the beach and near lots of cool restaurants and shops. The beach has a paved boardwalk that goes for many miles and is always packed. I'm really familiar with the area now and feel very comfortable running there. It's so fun, although it can be pretty warm. Monday I just took it easy and was surprised to see my sub-9 pace since I'd made a point not to look at my watch at all. Cool! Yesterday's run was bit harder because at the end I ran up some hills including a super steep one.
This morning I reluctantly dragged myself to the pool for a short 500 meter swim in 10:30. I felt really awkward and flail-y in the pool today, yick. Oh well. Might do a run or a bike ride tonight, not sure. I like not having a strict schedule because it's so flexible, but I tend to question my decisions (am I running too much? should I swim more? etc) so I am starting to look forward to marathon training and the structure of that. Also, I like swimming and biking, but I'm not sure I like having to do it.

OK, what kind of job do you have? Easy, flex schedule. Trips to the beach. Run/swim whenever you want. ??? Nice runs...

Looks oddly familiar... I obviously don't get much of a chance to run on the beach living in South Dakota, but I did do some running in Manhattan and Redondo Beaches a couple of years ago when we flew out there for my sis in law's wedding. It was very odd for me to be running and CONSTANTLY seeing other runners...I go weeks at a time without seeing anyone else running around here. I think I've been tagged as the "crazy running guy" by my neighbors.

LOLOL ya, HAVE to do anything is a bummer... but when u think I WILL do it, everything changes....

power of words huh...

just say HAVE and stretch it out...
sounds like ur whining Haaaaave... Waaaaaaaah lol

now say the word WILL short & too the point.

WILL...love that word I will.. I WILL,

now I know ur a WILL, get it done type of person but I just added these to words to a training I was doing for my business and it was pretty cool how people need to substitute the HAVES and change it to the WILLs... and a lot of people got the message. (hope it made sense, easier to say it, then write it)

OK Bob stop rambling--lol OK I "WILL" SHUT UP Now and go for a RUN

Be safe & enjoy ur time in LA
